You can enroll in the program either in Aarhus or Copenhagen. The education consists of 9 full teaching days (from 9 AM to 4 PM), mainly spread over blocks of 2 days with approximately 14 days between each block. In Aarhus, the education is held at the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel, and in Copenhagen we welcome you to our own brand new (and quite chic) conference center right by Papirøen, Nyhavn and Broens Gadekøkken.
Teaching, Study Groups, Curriculum, and an Informal Exam
The Artificial Intelligence Developer™ is structured over 9 training days. In addition to the lectures, you will meet with a study group 3 times during the education (possibly virtually) to further explore how to integrate what you have learned from the previous training days into your own practice. There is also approximately 600 pages of curriculum that you need to read through the education. Together with a group, you will present an AI project on the last day that you have developed together during the education.

Machine learning, deep learning & mathematics in AI
This first day will initiate your journey into the realms of AI development. It will help you grasp the basics of machine learning, dive into deep learning, examine the structures of neural networks and uncover the mathematics behind artificial intelligence. The day blends theoretical knowledge with practical applications, setting the stage for your explorations in AI. By the end of this day, you will have a clear understanding of the foundational aspects of AI technologies. And you will be equipped with the knowledge to identify applications of machine learning and deep learning in various sectors and understand the mathematical concepts that enhance AI systems’ efficiency and effectiveness.

Artificial intelligence algorithms (how to choose and apply)
This day offers a comprehensive exploration of the core algorithms that drive artificial intelligence systems. You will learn about linear regression, logistic regression, decision trees, random forests, Support Vector Machines (SVM), naive bayes, neural networks, K-Means clustering and a lot more. Through hands-on projects and case studies, you will learn to apply these algorithms to solve real-world problems, gaining proficiency in both the theory and practical application of AI algorithms. So all in all: This day prepares you to design, analyze, and implement AI models effectively.

Exploring Large Language Models (LLMs)
This day provides you with a thorough introduction to effective data management techniques essential for AI development. You will learn how to find the right data in an organization. The day also includes a focus on using retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) as a technique in optimizing the output of a large language model.

MLOps – Building Scalable, Reliable AI Systems
This day focuses on MLOps, the crucial discipline that brings AI models from experimentation to production, ensuring they are scalable, reproducible, and reliable. AI development follows a unique methodology that differs from classical software development due to the heavy reliance on data, the experimental nature of model training, and the fact that it’s often the model—not the code—that moves to production. The day will explore this end-to-end development cycle, highlighting the specialized components and technology stack required for AI. Participants will learn how, despite these differences, strong software development principles can and should be applied to AI, covering areas like model deployment, monitoring, reproducibility, version control, workflow automation, and regulatory compliance. Engage in a fully immersive, hands-on workshop centered on deploying and customizing pretrained AI models. This day is crafted to provide practical, real-world experience. Participants will work directly with popular AI frameworks to apply pretrained models to solve complex problems in various sectors. The workshop includes live coding sessions, troubleshooting challenges, and optimization tasks to deepen your technical skills. By the end of the day, you’ll have the experience to efficiently integrate, modify, and deploy AI models in your IT environments, ensuring you can handle real-world applications effectively.

AI programming: Python, R, C sharp and Java
This day offers a comprehensive exploration into AI programming with a focus on the languages most critical to the field: Python, R, C#, and Java. Participants will learn about the strengths and unique capabilities of each programming language in the context of AI development. Through a series of lectures and practical exercises, you will understand how to leverage each language for building and deploying AI models, including syntax nuances, libraries, and frameworks specific to AI applications. The session aims to equip you with the skills to choose and utilize the right programming tool based on the project requirements and performance criteria.

Working (or thinking) as an AI business consultant
We cap off the program with a deep dive into the role of an AI business consultant, focusing on how you can bridge the gap between technical AI solutions and business strategies. This day provides insights into the consultancy approach, including understanding client (or your boss’s) needs, identifying opportunities for AI integration, and proposing solutions that drive business value. Engage in interactive day where you’ll simulate consultancy sessions, employing critical thinking to solve business problems with AI. Learn about market trends, ethical considerations, and the economic impact of AI deployments. Daniel Svendsen draws on his experience as a researcher, engineer, and educator to create a deep and engaging learning experience. He studied applied physics and mathematics at the Technical University of Denmark and holds a PhD in machine learning from the University of Valencia in Spain.
Over the past five years, Daniel has taught data science and deep learning to both university students and professionals in industry, and he now works at EMD International in R&D within energy systems.
Over the past 10 years, Rasmus Hvingelby has worked with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. At the Alexandra Institute in Denmark and Fraunhofer in Germany, he has applied machine learning to everything from understanding the Danish language to quality assurance on production lines through image analysis. A common thread in Rasmus’s research has been machine learning with few data examples, which has resulted in several peer-reviewed publications in the field.
In 2019, Rasmus co-founded Silvi, where he has since served as CTO and head of product development. Silvi is a platform that helps researchers quickly gain an overview of scientific literature using artificial intelligence.
Rasmus’s knowledge from the research world, combined with a strong understanding of what is needed in industry and startups, gives him valuable insight into both the possibilities and limitations of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Erik David Johnson is Chief AI Officer, AI MVP, and a researcher in language technology. He serves as a strategic advisor on Generative AI to both the Danish IT Industry Association and the Government, helping shape the national landscape for the use of large language models in Denmark. Erik has many years of experience teaching and working hands-on with AI and, in just the past 18 months, has shared his insights with over 6,000 people across 120 companies, government agencies, and organizations.
Morten Lantow is responsible for the development of DSV’s global MLOps platform and serves on the company’s central AI Governance Board, which supports the implementation of DSV’s AI strategy across business units. He previously led EY’s MLOps offering in the Nordics and has throughout his career focused on creating business value with AI – with MLOps as the key to minimizing risk, ensuring compliance, and accelerating time-to-value.
With solid experience in cloud-agnostic infrastructure and enterprise-scale AI solutions, he builds robust systems that combine scalability with governance. His work bridges the gap between business and technology, and he is passionate about making AI practically applicable in an enterprise context.
Frederik is passionate about turning advanced technology into fast, tangible value. He takes a highly practical approach, where solutions must create real-world impact, not just look good on paper. This is exactly the mindset he brings to his role as Senior Data Scientist at Todai, an AI consultancy focused on delivering value from day one.
Previously, he was part of ZeroNorth, an AI-first scaleup in the shipping industry, and UbiqiSense, where he developed computer vision-based sensors for smart buildings. Frederik holds a Master’s degree in Engineering (cand.polyt.) from DTU, specializing in Mathematical Modelling and Computing, with a strong focus on machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision.
Abraham George Smith is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Copenhagen working on interactive machine learning and image segmentation. His research combines deep learning with human-in-the-loop systems, supporting scientific image analysis in biology, medicine, and agriculture. He is the developer of RootPainter, an open-source tool used internationally for plant phenotyping and image annotation, cited in over 165 publications.
With a background in software engineering and a PhD in Computer Science, Abraham has over eight years of experience building AI-driven tools. His work is shaped by collaborations across Europe and the US, and spans both fundamental research and applied software development.
Emil Sarauw is Head of AI at Droids Agency. He combines a unique mathematical insight with strong business acumen and is one of Denmark’s most sought-after advisors in the field of artificial intelligence.
With an academic background in physics and nanotechnology, Emil has built over ten years of experience in AI—particularly in launching, leading, and implementing successful AI projects. He specializes in structuring and driving advanced analyses within areas such as natural language processing, image recognition, and data and ML platforms. Emil is especially recognized for his ability to connect complex technological solutions directly to the specific needs and value creation of each individual company.
