Who are the 10 biggest CO2 'sinners'?
It’s important to note that carbon emissions are not necessarily “sins” committed by individuals or entities, but rather a consequence of various human activities and industrial processes. That being said, here are the ten countries that currently emit the highest amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere:
- China
- United States
- India
- Russia
- Japan
- Germany
- South Korea
- Iran
- Canada
- Saudi Arabia
It’s worth noting that emissions per capita and emissions per GDP vary significantly among these countries. In addition, many of these countries are taking steps to reduce their carbon emissions and transition to renewable energy sources.
